Txt series problem
Ok, cart is an 01.5 txt series and has been running flawlessly. Parked it yesterday and everything was fine. Went to go in it today and nothing but a solenoid click. Plugged it in to the charger and checked it 2-3 hrs later just tapped pedal and all was good. Went back out to load on trailer and nothing but click again. Perplexed because it can't be something getting hot and breaking down I wouldn't think since it had set for 24 hrs and was running perfect when I parked it. Has new batteries 2 months ago and new cables throughout. Any ideas?

Re: Txt series problem
It could be as simple as a bad micro switch. Does the solenoid click when you try to go but the cart won't move?

Re: Txt series problem
not fully charged ? .. put it on charge and let it get full charge .. your short charge just gave it a little power not a deep charge

Re: Txt series problem
Solenoid clicks but won't move. Scotty, I'm new to carts so not sure where the micro switch is.
Cart was fully charged the second time it just clicked. Charger had shut off. |

Re: Txt series problem
did you plug it in yesterday when you got home?? if not, you should have....in fact you should plug it in EVERYDAY or when you are done for the day.....if you haven't been, you could have already damaged your batteries.

Re: Txt series problem
If the solenoid clicks and the cart won't go the problem is in the high amperage delivery end of the system. In a series cart I suspect the F&R 1st. slam it into gear a few times and see if it goes? F or R ? no? Look at all the cable connections. Look for loose or corroded connections. Not lastly, look for any signs of heat on the 4 F&R main terminals. This could indicate a melted contact seat.

Re: Txt series problem
Thanks Scotty. I will check that in the morning. I need to just break down and save some cash and buy some upgrades from you.

Re: Txt series problem
Scotty, I did like you said and slammed the F/R back and forth a few times and that got it to working. What's the permanent fix so it doesn't do it again? Thanks a ton

Re: Txt series problem
that's easy.....buy a new HD F&R switch from Scotty.......once you do, you will never need another one.
