Default G1 head

I am new to the cart worl.havent played with 2 strokes in 25 years dont allot of automotive all my life with that being said i have read that these are low compression motors is there any reason we cant shave a few thousanths off the head to boost compression a bit

I can't speak to the Yamahas specifically but for sure it works with the old Harley carts. I would think it would be same for the Yamys but I can't swear to it.
