4ga is the most common size I use it for, but I've done 2ga and 1ga cables with it as well. |

![]() I have a 16 ton crimper from Amazon (possibly since 2017). Think I paid like $50 Has worked well with no issues. Be careful with Amozon reviews. Other vendors on Amazon leave bad reviews to bolstered their own sales.

![]() I've been using one of the old, spring up, bang down with a sledgehammer, crimpers for years to crimp ends on battery cables. Everything from 6ga to 000. It works great and once you beat the hell out of it. you can't pull that end off with a truck.
However, I am kinda "old school" I usually go for the low tech solution first. |

![]() I've been looking at lithium batteries for some off grid stuff for a bit. This guy's channel has been fairly informative regarding an otherwise opaque industry full of good and terrible chinese life4po batteries. But he also makes all of his own cabling. He goes through the tools he uses in this video. He's got Amazon links to the stuff he recommends. Yes I'm sure he's got referral codes on those Amazon links. But I tend to trust his recommendations based on prior alternative research confirming his info.
This is the hydraulic crimper he recommends with the referral stripped. |

same one I have linked on page 1 of the thread. Good to know it comes recommended by will. I did not know that at the time of purchase. |
