selinoid clicks but cart is dead
I have a 2003 club car.. I use as at a seasonal camp grounds.. In 2013 I replaced all 6 (8volt) batteries and the controller... Last year it stopped and I was told it was the computer so I purchased a new charger to by pass the computer.. I just got it out of storage and it took right off.. After a couple of trips around the yard it started smelling hot so I parked it for a couple of days.. The next time I went out it took right off but after a little joy ride it started smelling hot again and stopped!
I am wondering if it is the motor and if since it is a 2003 and I have already put over a thousand into it (I am a 70 year old widow so have to hire most work done) it might be better to replace it (even though I really don't have the money) Last edited by daffodil1945; 04-20-2015 at 09:19 AM.. Reason: put wrong year in.. |

Re: selinoid clicks but cart is dead
This is going to require a little more investigation on somebody's part to ascertain which component is getting hot and giving off the smell. Next time you smell hot electrical lift the seat and see if you can locate the source or have a technician do it for you. The trouble could be in the F&R mechanism or any bad cable connection....
