Default My MCOR is bad I believe, but need to make sure. 07 Club Car

Hey Guys! First post here. Great site with tons of info! I got a new used 07 club car precedent, with a 48v system. Pretty excited, as this is a nice cart and we use it a little bit every day.

Recently my wife started complaining how there is no "gradual acceleration" in forward or reverse. You have to push pedal down to halfway at least, and then it will take off very fast. This happens in F and R. (Dangerous backing out of garage) She almost hit a tree yesterday!

When we do try to gradually accelerate, there is "lurching". It starts to move, then no power, then go, then no power causing this jerking lurching type action. It is VERY obvious, and something isnt right.

I have done some research on this forum, and it seems the MCOR is bad. Any advice? Am I right? If so, I will order and replace. TKS in advance.

Serial number is: PQ0738-818051

I had my wife turn the key off, pump the gas pedal 25 times and try it. She said it works better...but wasnt able to fully test it. I will try when I get home as well.

If this works, is this a sign of the MCOR?

Yes, this scrubs the contact clean. If it helps - more may be better or an updated version may be available.

Thanks Scotty! Is there a certain MCOR you can recommend based on my serial number? I will just replace it if it helps it work better.

And does this symptom sound like it's definitely MCOR?

You need an MCOR2 for your 2007 Precedent. The MCOR4 won't fit on the generation 1 pedal assembly that your vehicle should be equipped with.

Good to know, thank you TD!

So I did the pedal trick previously mentioned, and it was SO MUCH BETTER afterwards. Forward and reverse. So glad I read that trick on this forum.

Does this mean it is most likely the MCOR?

Ok Thanks TD. It is still happening and the "pumping the pedal trick" is getting old. Will have to replace the MCOR now. Ill let everyone know how it goes once I replace that.

TKS for all the help so far!
