Take the pos. wire for the lights. Install a diode in that line, ring, or band to the light side. This will stop power from being pulled away from the lights. You can connect a cap across the pos and neg wires at near the light connection. This will hold a little power for the lights to stay on when you have a power surge.

I'm not very good at explaining things, I just know it works for my power plug.

OK, installed a 15 AMP diode. Issue is better but not gone. Bottom line, even without other lights on, these light will shut off once in a while. However, in each case, it happens when I let off the accelerator peddal. So somehow, there is a power spike or drain at that point and these lights turn off. They come right back on when I power off the reducer and turn it back on. The rest of my items stay on with no problem. They seem to be able to handle the power spike.

Is the +48v power input to Your converter coming straight off the pack positive and negative?

Does your reducer have a "trigger wire"?

If so, where is it connected to?

Thanks Sergio. Ill take a look and get back to you.

Would the trigger wire be the green wire? I do have an on/off swith wired in. That way there is no draw when I'm not using lights or radio. So my positive goes to the switch first. I need to look to see I have the Neg wire coming in. I use a marine grade fuse box. So I can't remember how the neg comes in.....

The fuse box would be on the 12v side, if there is a problem is likely in the 48v side of the converter.

There is no standard color for those wires, so it really depends on what converter you have.

Your master On/Off switch should be on the 48v side "trigger wire".
