Default Extra Battery placement

Converting my 90 CC to Controller and going to 48v..Its of course 36v with 6 6v batteries almost new...Bought 2 more identical for conversion..(Where to Put Them) is ??????
1. in bag area ////ok cause its open (not golfer)

2. behind seat back///ok cause its open area

3. In front of Front shocks and add extended bumper and battery box to protect
cons of 1&2
The thing as I see it is as cart is 70% of weight is already over rear half of cart..Adding more 120# seems like too much to the already rear end heavy buggy...

pros of 3..
Its front end light and this would help distribute weight (counterbalance) and its sort of a open spot..

cons of 3 More work // possibly overload steering .but I doubt

Photos of what you got would be nice
Any other Ideas or ways you CC guys got would be appreciated

Default Re: Extra Battery placement

I thought about the 8 x 6volt conversion and researched the same things you are.
I did find a link where a guy modified his battery trays to fit all eight. I ended up just going with 6 x 8volt batts instead.

There are quite a few pics in the link, so read it through to the end. Interesting stuff. Might be a few ideas in there for ya.
