We need a little more info to help you. By ohv do you mean some other type of engine or the FE290 that came in newer CC's? If it's the FE290 the carbs mount in a different position and the governor setup is completely different. Are you trying to keep a governor? Side issue: If it's the FE290 what year is the engine (CW or CCW rotation)?

Flathead means probably around 1990 or older.
They have different setups

yes it's a fe290 or 350 style engine I'm working with. I'm having throttle cable position problems also when I ground engine to frame it doesn't run but will run without ground but heated original s shaped cable red hot!

it's either fe290 or. 350. im trying to use original locate next to solenoid . I got the cart it has ground from batt to frame and another one that goes back. to frame towards rear of cart. it also has ground rite under voltage reg and goes to front of carriage engine is on. if I ground engine to frame it sparks wildly or if it's connected good the cart won't run?????????????????? think it's time to shoot it?
