Default 96 gas club car

Me and my son were ribe my cart at the fly wheeler show when my cart just quit running. We waited for about 10 mins and tried it and it ran. Then it quit and would not start again. I replaced fuel pump and cleaned carb but no luck. Any ideals?

I sprayed a little starting fluid in and would run the start fluid out.

I had this issue a few months ago. It would only run when I used my hand to cover the air intake pipe to regulate the air. I cleaned the carburetor twice and replace the fuel filter. That fixed the issue.

I have a 97 that had the same problem, took that **** carb apart 3 times. Hand over the intake seemed to get it going as well. I'm in cold weather so when I went out today to fire it, it didn't start. My choke wasn't working, I can only assume you have the big round black push button choke? I pulled out the air box and at the inlet there is a rubber gasket, it was pretty worn out, so I wrapped electrical tape around the cone/ tube that's attached to the choke button. It works like a charm now, no more pulling off the flex tube to manually block the carb..
