Default No Spark

Intermittent stopping. Thought it was fuel but carb and pump work fine. Now won't run at all. No spark. Microswitches seem fine as does coil. Next step?

Sorry. It's a 2002 Club car with an FE290 engine.

It might be a possibility that the rev limiter is bad,
It's a 1" x 2" box on the lower front of the engine, (#22 in the pic)
there's a ground wire for it connected to the left mounting bolt of the limiter,
remove the bolt, remove the eyelet from the bolt, reinstall the bolt, tape up the eyelet, and see if it starts.
If it does, the rev limiter is bad. (very expensive part)
If it doesn't run, we'll move on to other things!

*edit* the pic doesn't enlarge very well,
you might want to try to save it to your computer, and expand it that way!

Disconnected ground for rev limiter. Runs great, even faster! Do I really need the rev limiter? Why can't I run it without it? There's still a governor to keep it from going too fast.

You can run without it -- that's been my go-to fix for years when the rev limiters inevitably go bad. Initially I think it was actually a club-car technician who showed me the fix. You're right that it's redundant as long as you haven't messed with your governor.
