What should battery volts be after a full charg on a 48 v iq cart ?
Mine are 8.27 8.26 8.27 8.28 8.22 8.28 When i hit the accelerator my cart tries to go then quits , have to try several times before it goes but seems to start lagging after just maybe 200 ft so could it be a bad battery . The ones in it are about 4 yrs old |

Re: Battery voltage
This should help you. Put your voltmeter across the entire pack and see how low the voltage drops. It shouldn't drop below 40v.

Re: Battery voltage
Your readings are all relatively close to one another, so I doubt one battery is the problem. Comparing your readings after a full charge to the chart posted by WalterM6 above, it appears your batteries are holding about 70% state of charge when fully charged. Your batteries may be getting near the end of their life and may need to be replaced soon.
Under load readings should not go below 42v for a fully charged 48v pack. |
