Default 36v motor swap

I have a 2003 series DS 48V. I also have this motor available to me from an unknown year 36v DS. Anyone have an idea on how it would perform?

You should pick up some good speed if it works.

Did you “catch” that the last time you pulled up your boat anchor?

Seriously though, you may want to go through it first, clean the terminals, make sure the brushes are good and everything internally is in good shape. Looks a little on the rough side.

It's been buried in a warehouse at my work for years. I'm finally cleaning it out to make it a useful shop. I'm familiar with high voltage 3 phase motors and checking them for shorts and what not but not DC motors. What/how should i check this one?
