Default 2003 Club Car DS Stopping and Going

I have a 2003 Club Car DS AQ0321-286096 and I had an issue where one of the motor studs got shorted and burned the end of the A1 cable off. Idk if it just wasn't tight or what. The motor is a GE motor and I removed the motor and took it apart. I replaced the brushes and the leads going to A1 and A2. Also when I removed the nut from F2 the stud spun and broke the wire on the inside of the motor that goes to the coils. I soldered the wire back to the stud. I also replaced the bearing and magnet. Now when I push the accelerator it goes for a short distance and then I hear a click from the motor area and the cart stops going. It slows down a bit and then clicks again and goes faster. I can keep my foot all the way down and it will just do this non stop. Click slowdown click speed up. Any idea what could be wrong?

How fast are you going when the click happens?

The solenoid releasing is probably the sound you’re hearing. Low voltage would be my first guess. After that would be a speed sensor issue, or damaged or broken speed magnet, or some other input loss such as key or throttle switch input is dropping out.
Do the roll test and see if the roll away braking works. If not, then remove the speed sensor and check the magnet. If it’s cracked or broken it will cause a faulty speed signal.
