Default Alltrax Controller with stock motor

Question for the group. I have a stock motor and Alltrax XCT 500. I have the FNKS switch as well. I currently have the controller set for for 400AMPs. If i turn it up to the 500amp setting, will it blow the motor? Could I set it to 500 on one setting for the FNKS switch for when i want a bit more speed? It’s typically on the golf course, so it’s usually set lower. I would love a little extra speed to and from the course though.

What cart and what motor is it? How fast does the cart go? How fast do you want to go?

More Amps are not generally going to give you more speed. Maybe 1-2mph difference, but that’s dependent on quite a few other variables.
More amps to a stock motor will usually just cause the motor to burn up faster.
Use the Alltrax toolkit to increase the motor speed limit and you may be able to get some extra speed that way. A stock motor will likely have a limit of around 6,000rpm, so if it’s already set for that, then you’re likely already going as fast as it can go.

It’s runs 25 now. It’s a 16 CC precedent. It is set to 6,000 RPMs now, so i will just leave it alone. I was just looking for another 4-5mph easily.

I just burned up my motor today. I don't remember the settings I had it at, but I had updated it to the most recent update from Alltrax and it would do 27 with stock wheels and tires. I have the 500 amp version.

What motor do you have - GE or AMD?
The GE motor according to Plum Quick is only good for 400 amps.
