Default difference forward backward power torque

I have a g22:

Batteries 6 New Trojan 8V 890 - 51,6 V
Controller: FSIP Nr. 51-FX302G027
Motor: D&D Motorsystem Nr. 170-505-0001

when i drive on the street the cart feeels ok but on the beach the cart has not much power and a small pile of sand is enough to stop him. but when i change F1 and F2 ( i know the direction forward backward changes, buzzer is not connected) then he has enough power to drive through the sand but he is very slow on the street.

What could be the problem or is this normal?

many thanks

You have a voltage supply issue.
Reverse on the controller applies half the voltage and provides more current.

Cars with near dead batteries will still move in reverse.

Find out why you have a voltage supply issue.
Is it a weak battery?
Corroded or loose cable?
Bad solenoid?
Loose or bad cable on the motor?

I´ve checked the batteries and every cell is fine. i also put new cables in.
i disassembled the motor and found that three of the four brushes did not move because of the carbon dust. Could that be the problem?

Yes - motor brushes can affect motor operation differently in Fwd and Rev.
