Only Getting to 18 MPH with Navitas TSX600 Upgrade?
Hello All,
Recently installed Navitas TSX600 on my 2009 YDRE and only getting a max of 18mph. Regen and acceleration are set to stock settings. To the best of my knowledge everything is setup correctly in the app and I increased the max speed to 35 mph (not expecting to get 35 mph but wanted to max out to see how fast it would go). I also upgraded to 400 Amp solenoid and changed all battery, motor, controller and solenoid leads to 2AWG. I was definitely hoping to get more speed for $1000 controller upgrade. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if this is the max I will get until I upgrade the motor. |

Stock motor? It won't last long with that controller...

Yeah. I know the wife wasn't keen on me dropping another $800 on motor. Figure if I burn it up then she has to let me... lol
At this rate, the motor will last another couple of years unless I figure out why I am only getting 18 mph max. |

That's all you will get with stock gears and stock small wheels.

Its lifted with 22” tires. Feel like I‘ve read some of these threads were people are getting 25mph+ on stock motor with Navitas 600 (Obviously stock motor isn’t going to last long at that rate).

It should be able to get over 20mph with 22 inch tires. I don't know Navitas but with Alltrax, I can tune things a lot. Field weakening is required to get higher speeds. The Alltrax uses Field Maps to do this.

I've got ~ 22 mph with a 300a Alltrax and 20" tires, so you should get definitely more than 18. Call Navitas!
