180 deg out... that is what i'm thinking, I did mine and had the same prob so with the bottom mark lined up i took the belt off, turned the cam pully 1/2 turn back to it's mark
and put the belt back on and bingo that was it! she runs great now.

anybody have a parts brakeout for the Carb on this robin ?
I think someone put the worng bolt in the float Bowl looks like a regular bolt ?

i would check to see how the engine runs without the drive-belt on. i had the same thing with mine, i thought it was the engine, and it ended up being the rear driven clutch was messed up. give it a shot
