Could be a diagnostic code trying to tell you what's wrong. Tell us what the Beeps are ( like 2 shorts, pause 3 Beeps )

I agree, what modifications have you done to the cart?

no modifications made to the cart that I know of. Bought it used. It will beep untill you take your foot off the pedal. no set amount of beeps. will check it to make sure the next time it does it. if you put the cart in diagnosis mode. it shows no fault codes. beeps 2 times at first. I think they tells you it is in Steep hill mode.

Are you sure this is a PDS cart? F/R switch is on the dash next to the key switch ? and a tow/run switch under the the seat on the controller right

This doesn't sound like a diagnostic code. It sounds like the controller thinks it is in the "Walk-A-Way" mode. Meaning it thinks it is coasting with no accelerator being used. Also indicated by the slowing down.

Possible foot pedal micro switch problem. Try putting it in the Diagnostic mode and it may give you a code when it happens. (see stickies)

you need to pull the Speed sensor out of the end of the motor. I would almost bet that 1 of 2 things has happened.....

1: The torx bolt holding the speed sensor magnet has worked itself loose and needs to be re-tightened.

or

2: The magnet itself has seperated from the metal disk it is glued to and will need to be replaced. If this is what happened, make sure you examine the speed sensor carefully for any damages. It should be smooth and clean.

the easiest way to access the speed sensor is by removing the wheel and simply reaching in with a set of snap ring pliers.

from what you are describing, the cart is rev-ing up to speed, but since it isn't getting the correct readings from the speed sensor, it thinks it is rolling away uncontrolled and is entering "walk away" mode , restricting the forward speed to 3 miles per hour and beeping like crazy to let you know that your cart is rolling downhill......
