Equalizing tire PSI on same axle
I've got a slow leak on a tire and my cart gets a little squirrely when the air pressure in the tires on the same axle get unbalanced.
I have a car that has a similar issue. The steering is quick and sure, but it only takes a pound or so difference in the front tires to feel it starting to pull. Here's the gadget I came up with a few years ago, to inflate both tires on same axle to the same pressure. Clip the hoses on both tires. Open both ball valves. Inflate via central schrader valve to desired PSI. Close both ball valves. Disconnect hoses. You now have the same pressure in both tires. I put this together out of my junk bin mostly, but it is basically a Tee, two ball valves, three Shrader air valves and two replacement hoses for 12V air pumps. Thought you guys might find use for something like this on your carts, cars and trucks. |

....and if you are slower to release one tire valve compared to the other, pressure is still not the same. Good idea but I will stick with the pressure gauge on each tire.

Re: Equalizing tire PSI on same axle
very cool solution to your problem.. similar to how we used to hook up air shocks just minus the ball valves and different hose. I guess you could save 30 seconds or a minuet seconds if yo connected 2 more hoses and ball valves and filled all 4 tires up at the same time to the same pressure, interesting idea, would probably never do it because a tire gauge is so easy to use but still a cool idea and it solved your problem so +1 for you.

That is pretty nifty. I like the idea of saving time and the fact that you are creative and used stuff you had laying around. Kudos!!
