Parts Cannablized
First time poster... My neighbour and I purchased a 1990 EZ-GO PCX-954. That has been pretty much raped over. Most of the wiring is there along with the Motor (2hp Series) There is no speed controller or solenoid. So, from the research we've done we just need a little varification for parts we need to acquire. I believe it would need the following:
1) Curtis 1204-027 speed controller 2) 36v Solenoid ( with 250ohm resistor and 3amp 100v diode) We are 90% sure how to wire all components from research, so any and all help and tricks would be greatly appriecated. If anyone needs more information or pics posted, just let us know. Yes we're going to also have to aquire a charger and some battries so comments on that would also help. Thanks in advance Two newbies to the cart world. |

Re: Parts Cannablized
I was given something similar last fall. I gave it to a friend who wanted to make a flatbed truck out of it..... it was in similar shape.... I have some before pics.... we had a 36v motor in it. So we went with an Alltrax 400 36-48v and got 8 used 6v batteries and ran it on 48v.... we used a White Rodgers 200 amp solenoid. and a pair of 24v Lester on-board chargers. It runs great but the breaks were weak so we bought a pr of CC front drum brakes somewhere. He lifted the cart 2-3 inches and put a CC front end under it; This old man is crazy but it is a fun little flatbed and it does go anywhere on his hilly property.
I have a newer Ezgo 952 that is a work in progress but, these carts are lots of fun, Post some pics of what you have. You needn't be stuck with stock performance. |

Re: Parts Cannablized
Yea 2hp does seem a little low for this big cart, so think harder and let me know what you come up with, maybe the motor was swapped out, who knows. found it in a field and bought it for 350. It's alittle rough, but we'll get it there. It was used on the flight line by the US Airforce
