Whether or not you install an on-board DVM, it's a good idea to have a hand-held DMM for troubleshooting. Electric Carts, batteries and chargers are pretty reliable, but they can be cantankerous at times. It doesn't have to be an expensive one. A $20 one from K-Mart or NAPA will do the job. Also as kernal said, unless the previous owner changed the keyswitch, anybody with an EZGO key can drive away with it. Of course, a unique key will only keep honest folk honest, a determined thief with a little knowledge can still hot-wire it. |

I plan on getting some sort of wheel boot or steering wheel lock as a minor deterrent. I have the cart insured for $4000 dollars theft which gives me some peace of mind.
