89 Marathon GX444 Piston Clearance
Looking for the maximum allowable piston clearance for a 1989 E-Z-Go Marathon with GX444 (Robin EC25-3PG) 2-cycle engine. The rings are shot but the piston and cylinder is in pretty good shape, however, the skirt clearance is .007. Not familiar with this particular engine, but that seems a little high???

Re: 89 Marathon GX444 Piston Clearance
.007 is the max according to ez-go. if the cyl. wall is smooth i would just lightly deglaze it and p/u a piston and ring kit. then you can be sure of a pretty good fit.
and welcome to BGW. |
