Default Replacement for Bombardier 1509 Motor Controller?

Hello. Hoping you all can help me out with a real predicament. My grandfather's bud has and older bombardier golf cart that needs a new motor controller and i havent been able to find a direct replacement, nothing shows up at all for a google search or anything. I am looking for a replacement for a Bombadier (part no. 2088, model no. 1509-0202) 72V motor controller rated for 300Amps (original was made by CurtisPMC, 16600 & 16605 boards). I have not been able to find any data on a direct replacement. I don't know much of anything about these golf carts. Thanks again and any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for the link! So, if I'm not mistaken, there isn't a direct replacement controller? Looked like the gentleman in the thread mentioned required mods to an aftermarket controller. Why are these things so hard to find?

. . . just a WAG, but being that the Bombardier has not been made since about 1999, the controller for it wasn't either . . . try sending an inquiry here to see what they offer for advice:

. . . also here is another thread with good info:

Has anyone an answer to the replacement controller question. Curtis don't seem to want to answer e-mails. It shouldn't be too hard. What is the replacement model number for 1509-0202 ?

This leads me to a reconditioned unit. The replacement or superseded units I have found have a different plug fitting of two rows of connections. Mine has three.

Well you didn't say that. I'll re-Goggle it and see what I can find.

You can also send it in to Flight Services in Pa. for rebuilding...they will give you a quote before repair and they are the Curtis Authorized Repair Station.

I'm sorry if I sound a little abrupt, but I am in Australia and the shipping has been quoted up to $300US, which is even more in Australian $, so I don't want to make a mistake when I do order. I just can't get a positive replacement model number other than the Curtis 1244 series which has unsuitable connecting plugs .My 1509-0202 has a 28 pin fitting in a 9-10-9 pattern in 3 rows. Some companies just won't reply including Flight Services in PA who only allow US or Canadian addresses in their email response. I feel the safest way is to recondition a 1509-0202 but then I have to send mine as a core plus the $260US freight back, a double cost. Thank you for your help so far.
