Auto-cal in the SPM controller doesn't work that great. It'll adjust to 100% once but after it sometimes drops to 80%. The only way to know the throttle curve is to run a data monitor/capture and read the actual throttle position in real time from the SPM. If it's not 100% you will have to exit out of data monitor and adjust throttle curve and retest. I.E. you might have to lie to the controller and tell it 80% throttle is really 100%. I've had to do that twice on both SPM's I had.

Agreeed, set throttle curve to 100% at 80% travel.

I not clear on this but weren't controller settings okay before the new motor?

Scotty, if you remember I had to send the controller back to ALLTRAX and they reprogrammed it (flashed). THey claimed the software got corrupted some how.

I do remember that. They said the controller somehow lost its programming? Sounds like water under the bridge unless you think it has happened again?
My question was did the controller work ok before you changed the motor?
A simple motor exchange should not effect controller program or throttle settings. A motor exchange should be plug and play unless the manufacture calls for specific program settings. Which PQ often does with Alltrax controls such as deselecting turbo mode which will decrease top speed....

The controller worked with the previous motor. Was it getting 100% throttle? No idea.

The controller should work with a simple motor change, perhaps but there was a guy that posted to "Make sure you make the controller PQ friendly" So using that advice I went in to change the voltage settings since it went from 36 to 48 and tried to figure out the PQ friendly part since I was not provided an answer when I asked except for "Search every third thread that discusses PQ motors"

PQ may have sent you the wrong motor. See it happen with a neighbor of mine. He ordered a torque motor and they shipped a torque/speed motor. Totally different rpm's on the motors resulted in a different mph they were shooting for.

u didn't tell us if you made any program changes when you swapped motors or if you have turbo on or off

I don't need to read this thread if you are going to play games instead of answer questions from volunteer help. Good luck
