Re: Want to lift my precedent just an inch or two...
I am glad it worked out for you Bud
mine was a brand new cart when I did this trick to it and it looks great When I put those Big *** tires on it, they rubbed the fender wells in the rear, so, I used My Jog Saw to cut away enough fender for it now to rub anymore, and sanded it smooth with my Die Grinder and a soft 1" wife sanding wheel........ In the front, I had to grind away some of the metal brackets where the windshield supports fit, cause with 22" tires on it they rubbed when I turned all the way to the right or left, but, that too was an easy fix with a 4" grinder........ Glad it worked out for you Dale D |

Wow - your wife must be very tolerant! Mine won't let me come anywhere near her with a sanding wheel - not even a soft one! OK - sorry Dale - that just struck me funny and my imagination took over.... |

Re: Want to lift my precedent just an inch or two...
I didn't have to cut anything, of course, my wheels are not as big as yours.
Best thing is after I straightened out the alignment, even with me, wife, and dog in front seat, it only BARELY rubs at full chock. Don't even hear it anymore. If I put new tires on without the worn out knobbies, I am sure it would become a little bit louder, but at least I can turn full-chock now. |
