I have the Crown CR190's. Been in the cart 15 months now. They have been great so far. Very stout. Better range than my previous Trojan 105's. (36v then).

I did find the Crown CR-190's. they are about $15 cheaper than the trojan 875's. How much difference is there between the QUALITY of the crown and trojan batteries? Using Johnnies cheat cheet above, the crown seems like a no brainer. Especially when you look at an almost 12% gain and a $90 savings.

What am I missing?
Sounds like you've got it figured out pretty well.

If I had to choose between Crown CR-190 and Trojan T-890 whose total cost sitting next to my cart was identical, I'd have to flip a coin to decide.

Given the choice between CR-190 and T-875 for the same price, the CR-190 wins hands down.

If the CR190 costs less than the T-875, I'd take SWMBO out to dinner with the savings.

What about the new trojan ranger batteries. Supposedly they have 35% more range than even the 890. Anyone tried those yet?

Been trying to get some, they seem like Vaporware around here, no one can say when they can get them.

Trojan clams 35% more Run-Time than the T-875.

azTony has a set and loves them, or at least the last I heard he did.
