Bad batteries are probably the #1 cause of RXV brake failure.
Followed closely by abusive driving

Fix batt problem

Do you have 12v accessories?
If so do you have voltage reducer?

Hello , thanks for reply

Do not have any 12v accessories attached to batteries.

Just had brand new batteries installed last week and going to replace motor brake again and make sure when installed that its installed properly and bolts are torqued to correct setting.

Hopefully will solve the issue.

Just getting a lot of feedback on the internet and also this forum and really confused on what might actually be the problem.

I know that I had a bad motor brake and also I know that 2 batteries failed the load test, so maybe all it needs is the new batteries.

So I am going to get motor brake installed next week and drive it and see what happens.

Got a feeling per all these threads that probably still will not fix the issues I'm having.

So after I have installed brand new batteries and a brand new motor brake and if the cart shuts off while driving & motor brake locks up , what then ?

Bob , from this thread has been extremely helpful and suggest possible wire harness corrosion and possible danaher controller issue.

Well , just as expected the cart is still turning off while driving.

I had a BRAND NEW set Crown batteries installed as well a new motor brake.

So I'm guessing some sort of wire connection or short of some sort somewhere.

I have inspected all battery cables , all connections and wires visible and see nothing out the norm.

It's almost like I can feel the cart start to short out and turn off when driving at a higher speed on the road and take a sharp turn , hit a bump and boom, just loose power and brake locks up.

I even drove the cart at about 10 mph and turned the key from R to Off and kills power to cart and locks the brake up.

Very frustrating !!!!!!!!

Check for harness corrosion just behind batteries, in front of motor. And, please, stop turning the key off while moving, unless buying another brake is your idea of fun.

Hello , thx for reply.

Exactly what harness are you speaking of behind the batteries.

See a Main Black Harness coming off the top of motor and also several single wires from motor (speed sensor wire , motor brake wire) but don't see any other harness behind the batteries.

Thx!

That's the stuff I'm talking about. Peel back the black wire loom, look for a salty appearance or "pregnant wires. pour some baking soda & water mix on the wires and watch for fizzing from acid. Which encoder do you have? The black sensor at the axle end of the motor, or the integrated one at the bearings?
