Re: Will a Curtis 1205M-5603 controller work?
So should I look at doing a MCOR conversion?
http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/pr...conversion-kit Or is there some wiring that needs to be changed to use the vglide? |

If You have a Multi-Step potentiometer (VGlide type box), the throttle wire connections to the Controller terminals are critical.
Throttle Connections: Green wire goes to J2 (middle)If You have different color wires, please identify the color of the wires coming out of the Multi-Step potentiometer box. |

If the wires match:
Make sure throttle type 9 is selected. By-pass the reverse micro-switch: Disconnect the 3 wires from micro-switch #3. Pull the Yellow wire from Controller terminal #3 just far enough to put positive voltmeter probe there. Set the meter to 20vdc and measure the voltage from Pedal Up to Pedal Down. |

Awesome sergio!!
That bypass allowed me to have reverse! I can tell it’s full reverse but that’s fine for my needs. I measured the voltage to 4.29 at 100%. |

Re: Will a Curtis 1205M-5603 controller work?
One annoying thing that exists is a sort of Time delay. So when I press the throttle I need to hear the click wait a second and then I can go full throttle.
If I just got full throttle it won’t engage. Is there a bypass for that feature as well? |

Try adjusting your throttle deadband setting.

Yeah, I did the throttle dead and, all it did was change the amount of “play” in the pedal. I’ll increase it to 100% and see if that allows enough

Re: Will a Curtis 1205M-5603 controller work?
Quote:
As far as the delay, make sure you have a voltage reading on terminal #3 when the micro-switch "clicks" and sends power to controller terminal #1. The Multi-step potentiometer is not a real potentiometer since there is an "open circuit" before the arm inside moves over the second pad where the purple wire is connected. If the micro-switch is clicking before the arm touches the pad with the purple wire, you will get a throttle error. In that case you can just put a piece of wire between the pad with the purple wire and the one before it without any wires connected. |
