ITS problem?
I started having trouble with the cart being unwilling to go forward or in reverse. When the accelerator was pressed, it would start to go and then stop after traveling only a few feet. If the accelerator was just partially depressed, sometimes it would go very slow for several feet.
I think I have traced the problem to the ITS. When I measure the voltage I get the following results: White wire: 14.1 volts -----accelerate-------> 13.5 volts Black wire: 0.87 volts ------accelerate-------> 2.64 volts I would very much appreciate your opinions/recommendations and if it is the ITS, where would be a good place to purchase it? My cart is PDS 2001 - 2010. Controller: Curtis PMC P/N 73326G04, S/N 2190-P119749 |

Re: ITS problem?
Check the MOLEX connector from the ITS and MS to the wiring harness. It's located to the rear of the buggy from the FNR. Mine needed frequent cleaning, until I eliminated it. You can probably simply unplug then replug it. If that helps, use contact cleaner then unplug, spray, replug, several times.

Re: ITS problem?
Measuring 0 volts between black and white leads no matter whether the accelerator is depressed or not. Guess the ITS is faulty? Wonder how often these parts go bad? Any recommendations on where to purchase an ITS would be appreciated.

Re: ITS problem?
Rare for the ITS to go bad. They do malfunction when water is present. But your results 0 voltage is not an ITS problem. The controller supplies the ITS input. Check the wires at controller .

Re: ITS problem?
Attached is the PDS diagram. See plug J4.
ITS is Pin 4 white and pin 3 black. Try to lift the pin just enough to slip the test leads under the plug to the pins or chase the wire in from the top with a sharp test lead. |

Re: ITS problem?
With power removed, would it be OK to unplug J4 and check for continuity between the BLK & WHT wires. Does the ITS introduce any resistance to speak of? Also, would the current from the meter cause harm to the ITS?

Re: ITS problem?
When I checked the continuity through the ITS it is open. Is this normal?
