I used this installing my Trojan ranger 160's and it was flexing quite a bit, I ended up using both hands near the hooks, I was afraid of dropping my new batteries. I picked it up on amazon for $4 and change prime. It is stamped Trojan on it.

The battery straps are great but as somebody said they can break. The last batch I bought had a 'use by date' stamped on them. That's when I stopped buying them.

Friggin sad that a battery strap has an expiry date! The hooks look OK, one could rivet or bolt them to a piece of old v or serpentine belt and have a lifter that will outlast us!

Expiration date is to cover their butts from lawsuits, Cheap Chinese rubber. The serpentine belt seems like a great idea.

Seems they could have put a nylon strap inside a rubber coating and had the best of the best lift strap that would never break or rot out ???

Yeah, but that would cost 13 cents to make, instead of 11.

Hey, two cents is two cents. I mean, that's an entire opinion!

If you ever had one of these straps break while in use you would throw any 12 month old strap in the trash on sight.
