speed sensor,I have seen a bunch of carts that the speed sensor wiring back over the top of the motor gets pinched or separated

Hows the battery volts look when this is happening? I assume this is with consistent foot pedal application. One bad cell could be pulling the voltage down to cutback level then the reduced current is letting it float back up. (rinse and repeat)

I agree it sounds like a ITS sensor issue

ITS issues are very rare Unless we are referring to water in the ITS, then yeah that will send erratic throttle signals until it's dried out.

Had someone tell me today they had "knots" in their ITS wires and their cart was doing something similar. They removed said knots and the issue ceased. Having not actually seen this I don't know what they were actually referring to...I guess pinched, semi-broken wires?

The wire is several wires in one cable. It's a long wire, long enough in fact to literally tie in a knot.

Maybe the signal got confused going through the knot

I had one come in with the tach sensor wires pinched in half between the motor & axle flange. Yeah the controller really loved that, Rip!

That's what they kept saying. All I could think of was that 'bad life hack' where you 'kink the wire like a garden hose when you work on the outlet to stop the flow of electricity.
