My dealer is converting my rxv to a 6 batt x8
I was looking at the shop Ezgo site and notice that they sell different controllers for the 4x12 and the 6x8. Is my old 4x12 controller going to work ok with the new batts? The dealer did t say anything about needing a new controller. I am hoping that this going to be a reliable setup. Thanks for any advice.

That's the best thing you can do to your Rxv! Don't worry, it will be better than ever! No other modification needed. That's the first thing I would do to an Rxv if I were to buy one, and I work on them every day. DON'T WORRY, best investment you could do to it. Be glad they sent you that way.

My RXV was converted to 6x8v during its rebuild/refurb process. No issues with the controller (Curtis). Been running it for a year now. It's a far better cart than the 4x12v models which around here struggle for range especially in the "winter".

Thanks cig and kernal!
Any idea why they would make a different controller for each battery setup? |

Re: My dealer is converting my rxv to a 6 batt x8
The EZGO site is selling kits with some associated harness connections and battery wires in addition to the controller itself. I think the controllers are the same but the included wires would be different depending on 4x12 or 6x8. Hence different kits. Unnecessary confusion. That site is notorious for confusing stuff like that. That is my guess.
cgtech has substantial credibility when discussing EZGO in general and RXV in particular. If he responds go with his answer. Note: When my cart was converted the controller was not messed with at all including software except for unlocking costal mode and subsequent dial up to max allowable speed. |

Just different battery cables in the different kits.
