Happy to swap it's position as indicated; I have 4 x 12v's - came with the cart; the blue wire (attached to a battery connector) goes back into the cart wiring somewhere in the cart. Currently I've got it connecting battery 2 negative to battery 3 positive.

A BIG Thank You to all those who replied to my thread. I learn't a lot, got some good advice which just needed a little learning on my part, but I can report that (for the moment) - my CART is working, lights, horn, forward/reverse, goes quite well! My theory about the blue cable positioning was wrong, it needed to bridge batteries 3/4 otherwise I would have got 24 volts or more feeding my lights and other items. Special thanks to Tahoe Dawg Z71, who successfully pointed this out! Lesson learnt - take better, more frequent care of my cart. Thanks again!
