Also, I did the jumper to test the solenoid. Turned out solenoid was bad. I could move with the jumper. Got a new one from Scottyb and hooked up last night and running great without jumper. Don't want to use jumper as primary way to run. Just do that to troubleshoot the issue

I need to add when the F&R switch is in the neutral position the controller
clicks. When the switch is either F or R the solenoid clicks.

You must have the reverse contact switch I don't have that one. I'm assuming that's Still normal as the solenoid should click on pedal presses when a direction is selected

Hi Guys
Be sure the controller is powering up - for Ezgo it will flash 4 green and go solid green when it is ready to go. Please don't jump your solenoid until all avenues are exhausted. It eliminates the whole low amp side of the cart which is likely where your install trouble is.

What about that controller light?

The controller light flashes green 4 times then goes to green when the foot pedal is depressed. Holding the foot pedal all the way down the light changes to red/orange.
Also the fan engages. I have not jumped the solenoid and will wait until Tuesday when
you return. I plan to start all over and recheck all wiring and connections.

Enjoy the long weekend and remember those we honor on this Memorial Day.

After the green light, does it stay red all the time or flash? How many flashes? There is a guide in your alltrax book to refer back to for the error code based on flashes

Don't go "flipping" that diode around to experiment. You would be better off testing it with no diode at all (testing only, the diode is there to extend the life of the gas pedal microswitch). The orange wire was originally used to tell the controller when you were in reverse, so it could reduce speed backward. It's optional, if you hook the orange wire to the blue terminal, it will do reduced speed in reverse.

cgtech is right - remove one end of the diode if unsure about it or post a pic of your setup so we can verify red end with the red wire. But it seems it is correct because the solenoid and controller are working - correct?

In my experience the fan only comes on when the when the controller is under extreme draw. Since the fan is on (solid) and the cart is not moving would venture to guess you have misplaced one or more high amperage cables.

The controller small wiring is ok, it's telling you it is set up for Ezgo ITS throttle and seeing a full throttle signal when the pedal is floored. Check your cable set up again using my install thread as a guide. GL

Bump-
A new grandson and work has taken me away from this project.
Today I am removing the reversing contactor and all the wiring, starting all over.
Re-rechecking all my connections and install.
The fan on the SR48500 controller only came on momentarily, it did not stay on.
