On my way to autozone to purchase dash light dimmer switch. Can't hurt...will let everyone know the results !

You could put some tint across the top of the lights similar to the old Army jeeps user during blackouts. That would keep the lower section still bright for driving. Or it is possible the cart is sitting low in the rear pointing the nose up.. Longer shackles would help with that.

Take out lights and give them a thin coat of a dark spray paint. You can color match your cart or go black for that smoked out look.
If you go to thick with the paint it is easy to take a little thinner to wipe paint off and try again. I have been using this cheap trick when customizing cars for years.

They make smoke shades as well just for this very purpose.

The problem is most leds are a 'flood' type bulb and not a spot light

i have the same problem. i plan on using a led dimmer(like pic) and run it to a hi/low beam foot switch. that way i can flash back.
