Re: Led headlights not adjustable and too bright
It's a shame theres no easy way to adjust them in a Rxv body. Here's another idea without the eyebrow "duh" look. I'm not too sure how well the electricky dimmer will play with whatever voltage regulator is integrated in the headlights themselves. I haven't tried this stuff on headlights to see how much it would dim, it seems more aimed for "blacked out tail light" look. Also not sure how removable it is. Just an idea to test (spray a light layer on another piece of clear plastic first). I have always found the aftermarket led RXV headlights to be not bright enough compared to OEM. I have only used them on carts that weren't "everyday neighborhood transport" vehicles, ones that would rarely ever be used at night. Tried a set of legit HID bulbs in a Rxv headlight housing, it was gonna melt it (chrome was peeling), but dang it was bright..

Re: Led headlights not adjustable and too bright
That spray on "dimmer" must be very popular. I know a lot of people that seem to be very dim.

Re: Led headlights not adjustable and too bright
I got tired of blinding people when we are camping and ran across this older thread. I will be trying the following tonight. I picked up two 3” fermco rubber pipe caps at lowes. About $5 each. Discard the hose clamps. I cut a half moon in each. They fit snuggly around aftermarket headlights as shown in the pics below. Push in pull out ease of install and removal. They should be 50% dimmer. We’ll see (pun).
Edit: And now I see this is in the ezgo section. |
