Mildew Stains on Vinyl
I've scrubbed the seats clean with detergent and a brush, tried magic eraser, even rubbed in a little bleach. Absolutely nothing will touch these stains! Any ideas?

This cart is 20 years old btw, I'm willing to go full nuclear on these seats since the next step would be to replace

Re: Mildew Stains on Vinyl
Honestly just replace them. You can get fitted vinyl from amazon for like $60 bucks
I just went to the local fabric store and bought some marine vinyl off the roll. It’s not hard to staple on, depending on your moisture levels you might want to use stainless staples if your near the beach or something. There are paints and stuff you can use but for the price nothing beats fresh vinyl. Oooooh that smell. |

Re: Mildew Stains on Vinyl
No need to replace.
I had the same issue with the seat and back on my Medalist, ended up scuffing them with a red scuff pad soaked with lacquer thinner, let air dry then sprayed with Duplicolor Vinyl And Fabric Coating which comes in a 11oz spray can. The local auto parts store I got mine at had several colors to choose from. Mine has been done about 2 months now and shows no signs of wear or fading (I play golf almost everyday) |

Ive had good luck with tilex bathroom tile cleaner.
Those stains look pretty well established though. still might be worth a couple bucks to try it. |

I drench them in bleach concentrate for about 3 minutes. I've never had a white seat come out dirty.

Re: Mildew Stains on Vinyl
Load them up with pure bleach. Let sit in full sun. Full sun is the key.
Watch what happens. |
