Default Where is my speed sensor?

‘04 EZGO TXT 36V Series Cart. Is it the 4 pin connector from pedal box to solenoid/controller with my black/white, red/green wires? If not what is this 4 pin? Cart keeps dying, when it does run it jerks and sputters, doesn’t go full speed. Can ride for a couple minutes then it drops to a crawl. Cleaned out that 4 pin connector, sprayed with WD 40 for any corrosion, it ran again but only for a few minutes. I have a bad wire/connection issue somewhere. Batts and solenoid are all new, I’m in the process of restoring the cart. DVM reads full and strong on all voltage.

Series carts have no speed sensor.
What kind of DMV?
Is it a bar graph?

My meter shows the digital numbers on screen, not bar graph. So does the 4 pin serve a purpose? Or can the 4 wires be snipped and crimped together?

All 4 wires come from pedal box. Black and white are from ITS and Red/green are from microswitch. It turns into a 4 pin connector before splitting off to the F/R panel, solenoid, and controller. Thinking my issue is somewhere in there.

Need to do some work on those battery cables. I see one on the F/R switch that is green. Replace it, check the rest of them too

The primary purpose of the four pin in-line plug is convenience during assembly at the factory and it is the source of many problems after being exposed to the elements for a few years. The four wires can be butt-spliced individually, or solder joints.

As mentioned, your high current cables and connections need some work.
