Re: who has the 'ELITE' dash?
My wife told me the dash showed up yesterday, and she said it 'looks nice' but she wished it was 'real' carbon fiber.

Re: who has the 'ELITE' dash? *INSTALLED NOW*
Well. Had an opportunity to get home early this week from Seattle, so I jumped at that opportunity. Got home yesterday afternoon then drove over to the storage unit to tackle the upgrade.
I've got to be honest, and say I'm a bit disappointed in the fitment of this 'Elite' dash. For $200+ I expected it to fit nearly perfect - and require very little to ZERO trimming. - The hole for the keyswitch plate did not line up with the current keyswitch hole. - The 'ballholder' hole that people normally put the radio in did not line up with the radio hole in the new dash. - The speakers holes that came pre-cut in the new 'Elite' dash were not big enough to fit the 6.5" speakers I purcahsed. The speakers did fit in regards to depth though. I spent far too long with the dremel hogging out the holes so that the new equipment fit correctly. Attached before and after pictures. The before picture shows all the hogging I had to do with the Dremel. The after picture is kinda crappy because it was dark out, but you can still see the outcome. I have a few extra screws I want to put in near the top of the dash to ensure that it holds tight and to try to eliminate any possible rattles. End result was nice - but what should have taken an hour total ended up taking me 3-4 hours. |

Re: who has the 'ELITE' dash?
So, is the bottom section a "lockable glove box?"
I think they look really nice installed!!! |

Re: who has the 'ELITE' dash?
You'd have to define 'lockable.' lol. Yes, it has a key that is required to lock or unlock it.
Its pretty light duty, but it will keep honest people honest. |

Re: who has the 'ELITE' dash?
I really like the design myself, just not diggin the color options. Anyone know if this "elite" txt dash is available in just black abs plastic like the factory dash?

Re: who has the 'ELITE' dash?
The look is awesome but the fitment sucks! I decided to put my radio in the glove box below! There is way too much cutting. They say 6" speakers fit but the hole size is 5". I don't really trust their word considering you have to cut off half of the dash to get the radio to fit!!
