I had a Chevy a few years back that had a similar problem. Sometimes it would just die. I could usually get it going, but I had to tow it home once. It took a year to track it down to a bad connector.

The connector made troubleshooting easier. I chose not to bypass the ITS connector since now I know what to look for. This is on an old cart and as soon as the batteries fall out the bottom I am going salvage what I can and look for another old cart like it. I have another cart with the PDS system but it is a weakling when it comes to hanging in there and pulling a load. PDS system overheats and shuts down and you got to fiddle with it to make it go again. I don't like the PDS.

There's enough excess cable from the throttle box to put in a service loop, so if I ever get around to eliminating the Molex connector and soldering the wires, I can always cut them for troubleshooting, then resolder. For troubleshooting, it's certainly easier than accessing the throttle box, though not as easy as a Molex plug.
Mine's not annoying enough to rise up in priority on my to-do list. |

Pack it with Vaseline and tape it up. Should be good for years.
