Default E-Z-GO PowerWise QE Charger connections

I have built a battery testing station for repairing PowerWise QE chargers (48Volt) for E-Z-Go carts, when connecting the positive and the negative leads of the charger to my battery bank (outputting approx. 46 VDC) the charger starts up and gives an enable error. I am assuming the ground (3rd) connecter on the charger needs to be used on this model. I know the charger is good as it works on an E-Z-GO cart. Any idea on what the ground wire is supposed to be connected to?
