You say disconnect the wires in the ITS box and hit the gas pedal? What should I be looking for? If you don't mind please explain what you want me to test next and what is the procedure again?

Confirm you still have the wide open problem. Then disconnect the ITS wires in the pedal box and see if the cart still wants to run. Leave the wires to the switch connected. If the cart still wants to run then the cable to the controller possibly has leakage caused by damp corroded place in it most likely a small connector in the cable. A cart will run if the ITS wire has enough leakage across the white and black wires without the ITS. Of course you can't control the speed.

Gotcha, gonna be a busy week but as soon as I get a chance I will check and post results of the test. Thanks again

I wondered what had happened to you. I was afraid the golf cart you were working on ran over you. The problem you are troubleshooting has been known to disappear after a few days. Make sure you still have the problem with everything connected before disconnecting the ITS to run this simple test.

HAHAHA.. That's funny. Had I not thought to jack the rear end up that could have been a problem. lol. This weeks work schedule is messed up so I wont be able to get on it until later this week or the weekend. Once I try it I will definitely let ya know. I appreciate your help. It sucks when I have a problem and don't know where to turn next so Thank you.

Radioman.... I was finally able to take at look at the cart today and tried your suggestion. The cart still wants to run at full speed when pressing the pedal. I disconnected the white and black wires to the ITS as suggested and the cart would not move. The clicking in the solenoid was present when depressing the pedal but cart would not move.

Where do you suggest I turn at this point?

You might have a bad ITS module. While you have the ITS disconnected measure the voltage across the wires when you press the pedal. This voltage is supplied by the controller. Next reconnect the ITS module and repeat above voltage measurement. Protect against sudden movement (keep it on blocks). Are you familiar with measuring resistance with your meter?

Ok I was just following the service manual testing procedure and here are the results. Using a volt meter on Volts the + Probe to the white wire on ITS and the - on then - battery with key on it says I should read 0.4 - 0.6 when solenoid clicks then 1.5 to 1.7 with full pedal pressed. I am getting a 2.3-3.0 when solenoid clicks so I am guessing that's why I am getting full power when taking off when my reading is above the 1.7 range when solenoid is first activated. If im testing this correctly I would say the ITS sensor is bad.....I hate electric...I am so lost when it comes to wires.....lol

It is ok to follow the service manual. Did you measure the voltage without the ITS connected like I suggested in post 17? Trust me. We are getting close to what the problem is. Lay the service manual aside for now. The high voltage 2.3_3.0 is the trouble. Can be caused leakage in the ITS wires to the controller.

Ok I went back to #17 and tried that. I disconnected the wires from the ITS (Black / White) and placed the volt meter probes directly to the wires. when pressing the pedal I got a reading of 14 DC . Is this what you was saying to try?
