610065 it is. $232.18 plus tax direct from EZ Go. I assume this is plug 'n play? No programming, place unit in Tow/Maintenance, disconnect battery pack while servicing?

Put cart on flat ground, chock wheels (both of these are very important). Tow position, key OFF, leave batteries hooked-up (you will need power during re-install). Unplug brake, remove 3x 10mm bolts on brake. Remove brake. Clean mounting surface on motor. Hang new brake on armature, push cart just slightly to point plug towards top to line up bolt holes. Start all three bolts (just barely). Plug brake in, put cart in neutral (this should unlock brake, dont let cart roll away). Tighten bolts evenly to 10-13 INCH POUNDS, if you dont have a inch-torque wrench, tighten the bolts enough to fully compress the lock washers, not much more.. Turn key off, tow/run back to run, turn key on, test drive, celebrate with beer.

There is...p/n 630894. It's supposedly heavier duty; we've been putting them on carts with rear seats or cargo boxes--basically anything that's gonna be over standard golf cart weight.

Gotta love EZ-Go.. That part number doesn't show up on their page.. However 613176 is the one for the 2Five and is $197.64 but not 100% sure it would work..

Gorno, just call them and say "WTH??"

cg, just for grins, could he try chocking the cart with the brake removed, but still plugged in, so it won't move so should, maybe pass the move test and try it ? Or could he leave it connected, turn the key on to get ready to go then remove the brake still plugged in to test ??

610065 is what was on there, and that's what's going back on there. The company is more than willing to pay EZ Go to come out and repair the cart, but I talked them into letting me have a stab at it. Just might learn something along the way...

Received new part late last Thursday. Have Fridays off, started repair on Monday. Removed old brake, decided to open it up for pix. You see the result.
Tried to install new brake but couldn't get the bolts to pass thru the brake because the front flange was misaligned with the back flange. Inspected part and found a nice flat spot on the outer casing. Someone dropped this puppy and ruined it. Maybe in shipping, who knows. Called the dealer in Iowa who shipped it and they said ship it back. They looked at it and agreed to replace it. Got it this Thursday late, and Fridays I'm off so it waits till Monday.
Found it interesting that Shopezgo ships from a nearby dealer's inventory. Could this dealer be a distributor also?
