Noticed you from Birmingham also. There is a place in Bessemer that sells tubing that you could make one yourself. All you need is a piece of tubing with a couple of flanges welded to it. I have not looked under neath the cart but it does not sound like it would be hard to do. You would have to make it so it sticks out past the rear seat platform.

Re: 2 inch receiver hitch for 2005 Ezgo TXT
I'm fixing to make one for mine. You can use a piece of 2x2 angle iron long enough to bolt across the 2 or 3 bolts just under the bumper, where the 2 rear seat supports come through. Weld an 18" reciever tube that you can buy from Harbor Freight for about $19.00 and weld a small piece of flat bar across the tube in order to bolt in the two holes out at the end of the rear step for a little added support. Seems like it will be a piece of cake.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds pretty easy but will need to get someone to weld the parts for me as I have never welded before.

You could get it all measured and cut. I'd almost bet that any welding shop would slap it together for less than $20.00. That's an inexpensive receiver! Less than $45.00. You can always find a piece of angle and flat bar lying around somewhere.

Re: 2 inch receiver hitch for 2005 Ezgo TXT
I went and got the receiver from harbor freight and angle iron and have fabricated the hitch. I spent $18 on the receiver and $5 on the angel iron. I have a guy welding it tomorrow for around $20.00. I will post pics once I get it back later in the week. Thanks for the help. Also, thanks for the offer to help Thunderbases. Roll Tide Roll!!!!!!

Good for you. I also purchased the receiver tube yesterday. I'm going to be putting the weld to mine shortly. Make sure you post the pics of yours. Good luck.
