Default YDRE That doesn't Drive..

I need some assistance..... I'm helping a friend who has a Yamaha YDRE that was in need of new battery and controller cables. All of the cables have been replaced with new 2 ga.

After replacing the cables to the solenoid and controller the stock solenoid was shorting out with a large spark. I replaced the solenoid with a brand new HD solenoid. Now when the key is on the solenoid clicks, but when the pedal is pressed there is nothing.

I measure the battery pack voltage at 51 volts. The battery side of the solenoid shows 51 volts. With the key on the controller side of the solenoid has a very rapid decline in voltage.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the possibility of a controller failure. Is this the stock grey Moric controller? I have a spare stock controller that was removed when I upgraded to an Alltrax XCT. Where in FL are you located?

Did the B- cable get paired back up with the A1 cable like it's supposed to, or did A1 get put on B+ like all other golf carts do?

Yes it is. I'm in Southwest Fl, near Ft Myers.

Are looking to sell your controller?
