Default EZGO Windshield Creation

Decided to create my own special design windshield for my 2005 EZGO. Ordered a 36" x 48" clear 1/4" plexiglass sheet and made a pattern of the size I wanted. Even made it curve up and over the hood of the cart. Note: the one piece design in picture.

Just my .02

In a few years, spider cracks will start forming around the mounting bolts. Caused by the flexing of the top struts. That is why so many use plastic channels.

Not this one Bubba, Each hole as a rubber grommet to prevent such. Remember I'm an old pro at this.

It's still plastic and it still flexes. Over time, cracks are going to form. The grommets may help, but nothing is going to totally prevent it.

NO NO No EZGO... I'll give you a report in several years. The holes for the 1/4" bolts are 3/4" dia. surrounded by a soft rubber grommet that cushions the stress from the flex. In a better term, it's a floating windshield... If it cracks, there is still a few 1/4" clear Plexiglas sheets left in the United States for the right dollar.

Keep in mind, I don't work for EZGO, but, I like to re-engineer their products. The "Tin Can" 295cc is one of them.
