Re: Auxiliary Battery?
Radio Shack should have the cig lighter...the battery tender is a great idea too, haven't got one on mine yet, but it will be added. Definitely keep the system seperate from the 36v system.

Re: Auxiliary Battery?
I use 2 ea. 12 volt batteries paralleled. The batteries I use are batteries used in a computer UPS. They are mush smaller and are 18 amp hr. batteries. They look like a motorcycle batt. I use velcro to mount them in the area next to the batteries on the driver's side.

Re: Auxiliary Battery?
non deep cycle batteries are not made to handle the constant deep draw that lights and radios will put on them without a constant source of recharge being sent to them. If you were to put a non deep cycle battery in, you would be replacing it on a regular basis.

Re: Auxiliary Battery?
Yes, members doing this use up a new battery every year. Why not spend a little more & buy a Reducer?

Re: Auxiliary Battery?
A DC to DC reducer can draw equally from the whole pack and reduce the voltage down to 12v so you can run your 12v accessories without drawing unevenly on the pack or using an auxiliary battery
