Default Valve adjustment

I am having problems keeping the valves adjusted on my 2005 Ezgo gas with a Robins 295 engine. I can adjust the valves and within hours the cart will stop running and at least of of the valves is out of adjustment. What do I need to do to correct this issue?

The valves are really soft, and are probably sinking into the head. Time for valve replacement. Below link takes you to a photo of a bad valve.

Can you see if any of the four adjusting screws are sticking up higher than the others? That is usually a sign that they are in need of some help.

One of the screws is lower than the other 3.

Ezgo was supposed to have improved these intake valves in the MCI engine making them harder.
Taking a picture of the valve where you see the threads showing more would help us take a look if yours are starting to pull into head .

A picture would confirm, but I’m also betting on worn valves needing replacement.

Harder valves probably did improve the issues on the pre-mci but it is 16 years old now so I’m sure it’s had plenty of use over those years. Everything wears out eventually…
