Default Just modified my governor on my DS..?

Is there a need for a tach or should I be fine? I really don't want to screw my cart up. Thanks for the info!

I am new to gas carts so I apologize for my stupidity. But another question is, are rpm limiters stock and will it prevent me from damaging my cart after the governor adjustment?

Thanks for your patience, guys...

club cars come with rpm limiter, but most are unhooked from ground because they go bad and are expensive. you can get a tiny tach for about $40 or you can get one on ebay for $14. Tiny tach is better. if your rpm limiter is grounded it is really bad on engine to hit it. get a tach.

also, if the regulator is grounded you suggest to unhook the ground?

the tach you posted will work, only wrap plug wire 3 times .tiny tach is better last 5 years. analog for golf carts cost way more .rpm limiter is box close to oil drain plug.

Thanks!

bottom line is that i should disable the rpm limiter but unhooking the ground and be sure to have a tach so that i don't damage the engine?

Yes, but the analog tachs are way cool!

However, they are a little difficult to install and get working properly.
