Though it may be overwhelming, there is a wealth of information to be found on here you may have to wade through some b.s. to get to it.

Actually I can answer your's and my own question on my charger....I just went to the website for my charger and found a printed manual and spec. sheet. I have a 36V cart which i converted to a 48V battery system--so I DO NOT have an OBC. I have a Schauer charger which is 3 stage electronic "self" controlling but never totally shuts off as I just read on their site. It drops to a float/maintain voltage which I'm guessing is the 53.* that its always at when I check it in the morning

I get 18-19mph gps. I am told that it will not go any faster due to the speed sensor on the motor. I saw the club car scanner and it showed it on 4th setting

When I bought the cart it had stock tires and was supposed to go 19mph but the best I saw was 16mph

Yea, the best I got was 20.4 with my oversized tires. With the PQ motor I get a solid 25MPH now and that is without a different controller or wire change.
